100% Halal
100% Halal is a production company and photography agency that combines a high level of aesthetics with a background in gritty urban culture. As they’ve got a huge amount of high quality visual material to show, we designed a website based almost purely on bold typography.
What we did:
The website was originally built in Flash, but in the iPhone and iPad era, this was no longer good enough for visual specialists like Halal. So we rebuilt the website, retaining the original design but adding extra functionality like swipe navigation for the photography on iPhone and iPad).

We built in a couple of other little tricks to show the videos and photography at their very best: full screen video is available on every device, and the producers at Halal have 100% control over which part of the photo is cropped, regardless of resolution. Also, backgrounds can be darkened for better readability. The website was shortlisted for a Dutch Design Award in 2011.
