Basqua
An identity for our own 2008 basil-flavoured non-sweet soda.
What we did:
“BASQUA is a non-sweet soft drink with a hint of basil. The perfect balance of Italian basil and sparkling Austrian spring water creates a new and unique taste experience. The ideal aperitif at home or at the restaurant.”
The origins of BASQUA lie in the ASOM ’Stad Zoekt Boer’ program, as commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2007-2008. Giep Hagoort had the original idea before Rick Grooten came up with the final recipe.
After a successful release at the Ministry and a toast between Minister Cees Veerman and Remy Harrewijn, Festina Lente Collective produced and marketed the product for a while in cooperation with Rick Grooten and Omar Schlingemann, until it was decided to stop production in 2010.
In total over 10,000 bottles of Basqua were sold in 2009.
